Stair, 86, of Mountain Top, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Pond Hill, she was a daughter of the late John and Ella Mae (Balliet) Spaide. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Slocum Township. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Dana Perfume. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin S. Stair; brothers, Harry Spayde and Charlie Spaide; sister, Clara Walsh; great-grandson, Michael Morgan. She is survived by daughter, Linda Philips and her husband, Ken, of Mountain Top; sons, Melvin H. Stair and Duane G. Stair, both of Mountain Top; brother, Roland Spaide, of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Arlean Stucker, of Mountain Top; grandson, Kennet h M. Philips; granddaughters, Tammy Eyerman, Tracy Stair, Frances Gold, Dawn Sincavage, Randy Deiniger and Tiffany Herron; eight great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; as well as her nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, with the Rev. Leslie Halchak, pastor of the Faith United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service an d be held in the Emmanuel Cemetery, Dorrance Township. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Stair, age 76, a resident of Hollenback Township, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Dorrance Township, December 22, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth Jacobs Kellmer. She was a graduate of Fairview High School, Mountain Top, and was a resident of Mountain Top for 32 years. Mrs. Stair was a homemaker, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top. She and her husband, Harry Stair, Jr., were married for 59 years, and had resided in Hollenback Township since 1991. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Terry Stair, at home; Harry Carl Stair, and his wife, Susan, Augusta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Kevin and Amy Stair; and sister, Vida Schneider, Hobbie. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. The Rev. James H. Shanley, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top, will officiate. Interment will be in the Albert Cemetery, Wri ght Township. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6 to 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 71 North Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18701.
